KAREN BLOOMQUIST

The Rev. Dr Karen L Bloomquist, is a theologian-at-large who has been a parish pastor (in CA, NYC and WA), seminary professor and administrator (Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, Wartburg Seminary, and Pacific Lutheran Seminary), directed the department through which the ELCA developed its first social statements, and was director of the Department for Theology and Studies of the Lutheran World Federation (Geneva). She has edited and written many articles and books, including The Dream Betrayed: Religious Challenge of the Working Class (1990) and Seeing-Remembering-Connecting: Subversive Practices of Being Church (2016). In early 2019, she taught at the United Theological College in Bangalore, India.
